Producer, Director, Writer
Jacob Phair is a filmmaker whose passion for storytelling began in his hometown of Uxbridge, Ontario. From crafting eerie tales as a child to developing a distinctive voice in horror cinema, Jacob has always been captivated by the power of stories. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Film & Media Production from the University of Guelph-Humber and quickly made his mark in the industry as an assistant director with the Directors Guild of Canada, contributing to numerous acclaimed projects.
Alongside his work in the D.G.C., Jacob has written and directed several films, including the award-winning short Lure, which showcased his talent for weaving suspense and psychological complexity. He is now preparing to release his debut feature film, Chimera, a bold found-footage thriller that delves into themes of trauma and the relentless pull of the past. With a focus on impactful genre storytelling, Jacob aims to create films that resonate deeply with horror fans while reaching broader audiences worldwide.

From an early age, Vrishub Merai was captivated by storytelling. What began as making homemade movie trailers with his childhood friends blossomed into a lifelong passion, driving him to navigate the many challenges of filmmaking.
While in film school, Vrishub discovered his love and knack for editing. For him, there's nothing quite like the thrill of piecing a story together and breathing life into a film. His experience includes working as an assistant editor on several feature films, including You Gotta Believe starring Owen Wilson (now on Netflix). He has also edited numerous commercials and award-winning short films like Lure. Most recently, he completed editing his first feature film, Chimera. Beyond editing, Vrishub is also a writer who helped craft the thriller Chimera. Driven by his love for the horror and thriller genres, he is always seeking ways to create fresh and emotional stories that captivate a wide audience.
Production Manager, Producer, Writer
Jake Norman's passion for storytelling stems from a family deeply rooted in theatre and filmmaking. He began his career early, founding his first production company, Blue Shark, at just sixteen in his hometown of Kingston, Ontario. Blue Shark specialized in filming weddings, special events, and producing commercials for local businesses from concept to completion.
Jake later moved to Toronto to attend Humber College, where he studied Film and Media Production and refined his skills as a writer, production manager, and producer. His professionalism and leadership quickly earned him recognition on major productions, including his work on the casting and production teams for Canada's Got Talent (2021–2025).
Since then, Jake has served as an assistant director on projects such as Bakeshop for the Flavour Network, while continuing to grow as a writer and producer. At Phair Films, he plays a key role across all productions, including the company's debut feature, Chimera. With experience spanning both reality and narrative work, Jake brings a balanced approach to filmmaking—combining efficiency, creativity, and collaboration. He's dedicated to telling bold, original stories with passion and purpose.
